It will be detrimental to the interests of NRIs who contribute substantially to the nation's development, the Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) said in a resolution adopted during its biennial convention earlier this month.
The GOPIO made a plea for a mechanism to enable NRIs to voice their grievances.
