The court said that the head of the Election Commission did not follow the correct legal procedures in filing the case against Thailand's oldest political party.

The decision follows a similar ruling on Nov. 29, meaning the party of Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva faces no more legal challenges.

A guilty verdict in either case could have led to the party's dissolution and a political ban on Abhisit and several ministers.
