What does it mean: Not much, as no emission reduction targets specified.

Cooperation in achieving peaking of global emissions and national emissions, recognizing that peaking in developing countries will be longer considering priority to poverty eradication.

What does it mean: Each country may have to specify the year for peaking. Studies suggest India will have to peak emissions in 2045 whereas China in 2025.

Rich countries to implement individually or jointly quantified “economy wide” emission targets for 2020 by February 1, 2010.

What does it mean: No emission reduction targets on table.

Developing countries will have to list their domestic mitigation actions in the accord.

What does it mean:
They would be required to meet their domestic targets.

National communication of developing to UNFCCC subjected to international consultation and analysis but without compromising national sovereignty.

What does it mean: Rich countries would be able to seek clarification on national communication from developing world, but verification not allowed.

Finance of US $ 30 billion by 2012 and US $ 100 billion per year by 2020 to developing countries under Copenhagen Climate Fund. Money from public and private sources and bilateral, multi-lateral will be part of the fund.

What does it mean: India and China will not get much money as most of it has been kept for least developed and poor nations.

Assessment of the accord to be completed by 2015 and will include consideration of a long-term goal.

What does it mean: Deeper emission cuts can be sought by 2015, if found what countries are doing is not enough for climate mitigation.
