A 48-year-old US man who sexually assaulted his daughter for nearly two decades and fathered her three children was sentenced to 109 years to life in prison.
A 48-year-old US man who sexually assaulted his daughter for nearly two decades and fathered her three children was sentenced to 109 years to life in prison.
"I hope he suffers," his 29-year-old daughter told the Los Angeles Times after Friday's sentencing in California's largest city. "I want him to die in there in jail because that's what he did to me. He confined me."
She told authorities that her father began sexually assaulting her at the age of six, beat her and kept her a prisoner in their home. He installed security cameras to monitor her and told her he would kill her if she tried to escape, she said.
The defendant, who represented himself at the trial, made charges of falsified evidence and perjured testimony, but DNA tests proved he was the father and grandfather of the victim's daughters, aged four, seven and 11.
