US Senate confirms Rice as UN Ambassador
The US Senate has confirmed Susan E Rice as the country's new Ambassador to the UN. With this, 44-year-old Rice becomes the second youngest American Ambassador to the UN.

The US Senate has confirmed Susan E Rice as the country's new Ambassador to the UN.
With this, 44-year-old Rice becomes the second youngest American Ambassador to the UN.
She is also the first African-American women to hold this post.
Rice's nomination was confirmed by a voice vote by the Senate Rice is considered to be very close to the US President Barack Obama. She holds the Cabinet level post in the Obama Administration.
