Volcanic ash cloud: France closes last airports

France will close the last airports such as Toulouse, Montpellier and Biarritz remaining open at 1200 GMT on Sunday as a cloud of volcanic ash from Iceland is moving south.

France will close the last airports remaining open at 1200 GMT on Sunday as a cloud of volcanic ash from Iceland is moving south.

The civil aviation authority said the last airports remaining open in the southwest, such as Toulouse, Montpellier and Biarritz, would close for commercial traffic.

Marseilles and Nice closed at 0400 GMT on Sunday. All airports are closed until at least 0600 GMT on Monday.
