Parineeti Chopra, who will soon start working on her Meri Pyari Bindu with Yash Raj Films, we ask reveals her Hollywood plans and more in a candid chat with Hindustan Times.
“As a sister, I am so proud of Priyanka and as an actor, I am just inspired by her. Working in Hollywood would be great but I am just five-years-old in Bollywood, and want to achieve something here first,” says Parineeti.
Parineeti Chopra can’t stop raving about her cousin Priyanka Chopra, who has got great reviews for her television show Quantico, and will present an award at the upcoming Oscars. “It’s insane the kind of things she (Priyanka) is doing. I spoke to her two hours ago and saw a picture of her on Times Square. I don’t have words to say what I feel...she is achieving so much. It’s something that nobody has done before and she is working so hard and doing so many things,” says Parineeti.
Parineeti, who made her Bollywood debut with Ladies vs Ricky Bahl in 2011 is known for doing youth-oriented films such as Ishaqzaade (2012), Shuddh Desi Romance (2013) and Hasee Toh Phasee (2014). Is she afraid of limiting her audience to a certain age group? “Youth is a big part of audience today. They are mainly the ticket buyers and movie watchers. I am in a position where I appeal to the youth more than any other section of the society. I think that’s a great position to be in,” she tells us.
