Shaheed Bhagat Singh College freshers: Talent in abundance but no winner
Here’s all that happened at the annual freshers of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, Delhi University.
The scorching sun was nothing in comparison to the energy of the students at Delhi University’s Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, as they got together for their annual freshers party. The mood was all set for Rubaru 2017, and the fuchchas and seniors indulged in singing, and grooving to the beats of hit Bollywood songs. Some students also mimicked popular dialogues and one-liners from their favourite Hollywood and Bollywood movies.

“I’ve been waiting for this day for so long. Look at the crowd today, so cheerful and happy. I just wish we celebrate each day like this only,” said Priyanshi Gupta, a first year student of the college.

“Freshers party not just bridges the gap between the seniors and juniors, but also makes the fuchchas familiar with the college and its crowd,” said Tushar, a fresher.

Dressed in their best, the girls and boys walked the ramp and participated in talent rounds to bag the title of Mr and Ms Fresher 2017. The four-hour competition, however, concluded in a dilemma. The conflicting opinions of the anchor and the members of the students’ union led to a result-less day as they argued to finalise a winner. The result is yet to be announced.
