Narrating the incident, he said, “ I was watching television, there were headlines on demonetisation and I saw PM Narendra Modi on screen. I was deeply impressed by his words, which reflected his simplicity like a fakir or a saint.”
Singing paeans in favour of Modi, Hans said ,“The Prime Minister said, I left my home, family, relatives and comforts to serve the country.” He added that Modi had taken a great step to remove the black spot of corruption.
Hans said, “After listening to the PM I realised, What am I doing here, if the fakir or saint is in Delhi then I should join him as I follow fakirs, terming PM a yogi since childhood.”
Appreciating the prime minister’s demonetisation move, he said,” He took one action what they say plastic surgery... surgical strike. People had stacked notes in rooms, he didn’t let anyone know and attacked on black money and corrupt people so that the common man gets his due.” He urged people to bear the inconvenience for sometime. He also appreciated the surgical strike to revenge the death of soldiers.
Hans clarified that his ticket was announced from Jagraon .”I asked what will I gain, they said you will become MLA, then wazir but I preferred to remain fakir. I will always respect former CM Capt Amarinder Singh,” he said.
