Akshay Kumar, who will be seen playing a pivotal role in superstar Rajinikanth’s 2.o, is looking forward to the release of the latter’s upcoming film, Kabali. He, in fact, wishes to be in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on the day of the release to be part of the fan frenzy.
According to a Deccan Chronicle report, the 48-year-old actor, who is currently in Chennai to shoot for his portions for the sequel to Robot, says, “I can’t wait to see Kabali. I heard that lots of people have already started requesting their respective offices for leave on the day of the release. I also came to know that fans wake up as early as 4am to watch their beloved idol on the big screen. Even on the sets of 2.o, I hear the Kabali ringtone everywhere. This is unbelievable. I wish I could be in Chennai on the day of Kabali’s release.”
Talking about the aura of the 65-year-old superstar, the Airlift actor says, “There’s a saying that cinema is magic and actors are magicians. For me, Rajinikanth sir is the real magician. From what I have noticed, he has his own way of delivering dialogues, which I can’t even think of doing.”
Akshay added that he has learnt a lot from the Tamil film industry, as he “closely follows the works of actors such as Kamal Haasan”.
