Actor Aneri Vajani and Kushal Tandon’s link-up news has been doing rounds in the social media circuit. Kushal was quick to trash the reports on Twitter, and now it’s Aneri’s turn to deny the relationship. She says it bothers her how such misinformation, highlighted by the media, affects her family.
“Kushal is the closest friend I have on the set. Also our make-up rooms are next to each other. So, when we are not shooting, we spend a lot of time together chatting. That’s about it. I’m very much single and not ready to mingle. Also I am eight years younger to him,” says Aneri.
Talking about how she handles such rumours, Aneri smiles before saying, “When the news of our dating first surfaced, Kushal and I just laughed it off. We made sure that people spot us spending more time together. Earlier too, I’ve been linked with my co-stars. I feel bad when it affects my family. However, now they know that such things shouldn’t be given importance.”
Meanwhile, reports were doing round that Aneri was miffed with the way her character, Saanjh Mathur, in Beyhadh, isn’t getting importance compared to Maya Mehrotra Sharma and Arjun Sharma, played by actors Jennifer Winget and Kushal Tandon, respectively. In fact, as per sources, she had even discussed the issue with the makers.
Ask Aneri about it and she says, “I have no clue where such stories come from. When I signed the show, I was very much informed that there are three leads and everyone will be given equal importance. Till now, the focus was on Maya and Arjun, next month onwards there is supposed to be a change in the track that will see Saanjh leading from ahead. So there’s nothing to complain about.”
