Watch | How movie turned real for American Sikh actor
An Indian-American actor and designer was not allowed to board a New York-bound flight from Mexico City after he refused to remove his turban. US guidelines put into effect in 2010 no longer require air passengers to remove turbans if doing so makes them uncomfortable. The airline later offered him an apology and the actor said he is now waiting for AeroMexico to implement special training on how to treat Sikh passengers, for whom the headgear carries deep religious significance.
