Andhra techie goes for stroll on Miami beach, ends up dead
Bommala Chaitanya Kumar had left for the United States a couple of years ago to pursue a post-graduate degree in electronics and communications engineering at Atlantic University, Florida.
A software engineer from Andhra Pradesh was found dead in mysterious circumstances on Miami Beach in Florida, United States, on Wednesday.

According to reports, Bommala Chaitanya Kumar (25) told his friends that he was going out for walk but never returned. Upon receiving information that his body had been found on the beach, they called up a common friend who – in turn – alerted the victim’s parents the following morning.
Chaitanya had completed a course in B Tech from Gudlavalleru College of Engineering in Machilipatnam before leaving for the United States to pursue a post-graduate degree in electronics and communications engineering at Atlantic University, Florida, a couple of years ago.
“Our son was hunting for a job in the United States, and he told us that he would return home after finding one. We were all hoping to see him soon,” his father B Rammohan, who works in the Machilipatnam municipality, told mediapersons. “We don’t know how this happened.”
Rammohan said Chaitanya had last visited Machilipatnam during the 2016 Christmas vacations, and returned to the United States in March the following year.
Miami Beach police spokesperson Ernesto Rodriguez said the department was not aware of the case. After a search of police records, he said, “Records (department) has advised there is no investigation or name that matches the inquiry.”
