Imagine a dark room where a group of musicians are playing a mixed bag of music, that is as simple and pure as sounds of bells and can get as complicated as psychedelic tunes.
Imagine a dark room where a group of musicians are playing a mixed bag of music, that is as simple and pure as sounds of bells and can get as complicated as psychedelic tunes.
Now, imagine artists dancing to these tunes and painting live. If you want to experience this drama live, head to this event on Tuesday. A group of like-minded young artists and musicians from Delhi and Bangalore will be performing and painting live for two hours continuously without any break.
“Kuru is the basic theme, and also the theme of our upcoming graphic novel. It’s upbeat, unusual and makes you feel uncomfortable — which is good, because when you go beyond your comfort zone, you can deeply experience music and art,” says Siddhartha Barik, one of the participating artists.
Titled, the Kuru Genesis Megashow, the event will start with performances by The Kuru Circus and Orchestra from Bangalore with musicians Ari Jayaprakash, Sikanth Gopinath, Colin Rozaria, Daya Sagar, Rohan Kulshreshtha of Peter Cat Recording Co and IP Singh of Menwhopause. This will be followed by Jayaprakash’s live painting session with Barik, artist Sameer Hazari and others. The paintings will be auctioned at the end of the event.
