Minister of State for External Affairs, Shashi Tharoor and Sri Lankan High Commisioner to India, Prasad Kariyawasam inaugurated the exhibition.

To preview the art work were present artists Anjolie Ela Menon, Sakti Burman, Shamshad Hussain, Sunita Kohli with son Suryaveer Kohli, Jaishree Burman, Nupur Kundu and art curator Ina Puri and Alka Raghuwanshi. Emcee Shivani Wazir Pasrich, PR guru Dilip with wife Devi Cherian were also amongst those present.

As the theme of the exhibition was in conjunction with the recent UN climate change conference, the minister , while congratulating the presenters and speaking at length about preservation of rainforests, was also noticed cracking jokes with the Srilankan High Commissioner and other guests present at the occassion.
