Celebrate the spirit of Rajasthan — the theme state this year — at the Surajkand

Mela

held in Faridabad. Four hundred craftsmen from India and other partcipating countries such as Egypt, Thailand, Tajikistan and Sri Lanka, will showcase their best in art and culture at this annual tourist attraction. The artists put their best works on display through stalls and performances.

The Mela offers exquisite craft items, textiles, paintings, pottery, jewellery pieces and home decoration items. One can also enjoy the various kinds of amusement rides at the fair. Selling like hot cakes are a variety of cuisines from the theme states as well as participating countries. Folk dances such as Kaal Belia, Siddi Goma, Brij Ki Holi and Charkula are the highlights this year. The mela is on till February 15.
