Inspired by her experience of working with rag pickers under a project, titled, The Plastic Bag Project (2006), the artist has explored the nexus of art and science and how the creative process can illuminate waste products as an art.

Ahuja has created these works after a decade of up-cycling. “People always ask me why am I always working with trash? Well, the Capital might have a number of beautiful locations, historical monuments, and vibrant landscapes, but what comes to my notice is the trash around the city. So, I have tried to breathe life into waste materials and have tried creating employment opportunities for 3000 rag pickers in the city,” she says.

The highlight of this exhibition is a hand bag installation, titled, Traffic, and several other artworks made using waste materials. “The exterior of the installation is made from tyre tubes. One can walk in the bag. The interiors resemble that of a chaotic city,” says Ahuja.
