Aiming to rejuvenate the enthusiasm, energy and pride of Independence Day among youngsters, Jashn-E-Azadi, a celebration of India’s Independence, will give a grand musical finale to their two-week-long celebrations.
Organised by an NGO, Nehru Bal Sangh, the grand finale of the fifth edition of the extravaganza, powered by HT City, chronicles the journey of India’s freedom struggle through an epic narration, music and dance.
“Independence Day is a national festival that should to be celebrated by every Indian rather than just enjoying a day off. The aim of Jashn-E-Azadi is to make the youth realise the importance of independence, so that they take pride in it, and engage in the celebrations actively. The finale will be one of the most extravagant celebrations,” says Ashok Sahota, president of Nehru Bal Sangh.
This event, with Republic of Korea as its partner this year, will see Indian politician, Sheila Dikshit, acting ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Lee Hae Kwang, filmmaker Subhash Ghai, and actor Vinay Pathak, in attendance. If you wish to soak in the spirit of India’s independence, get high on music and dance and be a part of this jashn!
