A theatrical adaptation of Paulo Coelho’s 1988 novel, The Alchemist will be staged in Bandra this Sunday. The play tells the story of Santiago, a simple shepherd boy, who has a dream and the courage to follow it. His journey is a voyage of self-discovery and exploration, as he travels distances by sea and desert in search of his treasure.
The mysterious and timeless Alchemist appears before him to guide him on his journey.
Directed by Mahesh Dattani and produced by Ashwin Gidwani, the cast includes Mohan Kapur, Dipankar Chakravarty, Abhimanyu Jain, Hemwant Tiwari, Tarique Hassan, Vinay Sharma, Shilpi Arora, Pathy Aiyar, Tarun Singh Negi, Sandip Sikcand and Asif Ali Beg.
