Home minister Umashankar Gupta on Thursday held a discussion with senior police officers over the proposal. The system has already been launched in Andhra Pradesh in April 1, 2013. The minister directed the officers to send a police officers’ team to Hyderabad to study the system.

Additional director general of police (ADG) telecommunication, Anvesh Mangalam informed the ministry that all control rooms in the state would be connected with central police control room at Bhopal. He further said that PCR vans along with a police would always be ready at all district headquarters and sensitive police stations of state, so that they could immediately be dispatched in the case of emergency.

He further said that recording of entire action taken by van incharge and his conversation with control room would be uploaded on web portal also. The recording of action taken earlier by police station in-charge would be seen by the senior officers and ensure separate action if the action was not satisfactory, he said.
