Notice for Jaya Bachchan

BMC issues notice to Jaya along with 16 others to deposit the amount spent in repeated demolition of their illegal construction, reports Anil Dubey.

While Amitabh Bachchan is embroiled in a land allotment controversy in Barabanki (UP) his wife Jaya was served a notice by the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) along with 16 others to deposit the amount spent in repeated demolition of their illegal construction in the Ansal apartments.

Jaya Bachchan owns two flats in the Ansal Apartment campus at Shyamla Hills. Her mother Indira Bhaduri resides in them.

“The notices were served as per the provisions of the Municipal Corporation Act. The illegal constructions were removed last year but they came up again, ” said BMC commissioner Manish Singh.

The BMC has served notices to 17 persons owning 27 ground floor flats in this complex.
