Shilpu Bhadoriya’s death: Father writes to PM Modi for CBI probe

In the letter which has also been e-mailed to the Prime Minister’s Office, Bhadoriya, currently posted as a subedar with 67 UP Battalion of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) in Lucknow, has sought the PM’s help for a CBI probe into the incident in which his daughter died after falling mysteriously from the fourth floor of a three-star hotel in Indore on August 7.

He wrote that a CBI probe alone can deliver justice to his family.

While quoting the contents of autopsy report of his daughter’s body carried out by a panel of doctors at the MY Hospital on August 8, Bhadoriya has questioned why the Indore police registered a case of abetment to suicide against the three arrested accused, including his daughter’s friend Ashutosh Johare.

“My daughter Shilpu, who was working in a private company in Indore was invited by her friend Ashutosh Johare to Lemon Tree Hotel to celebrate Friendship Day and was murdered in cold blood by him with the help of his two accomplices on August 7,” the letter reads.

The letter further mentions, “despite the fact that the post mortem report prepared by the esteemed panel of doctors of government hospital has conclusive evidence that she was murdered before throwing her body from the fourth floor of the hotel, the probe by the Indore police so far is for abetment to suicide.”

The JCO of army further adds in the letter, “I’ve served the Indian Army for nearly three decades with utmost sincerity and dedication. This catastrophe has completely shaken the whole family and I don’t have enough means to fight a legal battle through any court for handing over the case to the CBI. My present posting in Lucknow also does not allow me to frequently visit Indore.”

Shilpu, a BBA pass out hailing from Gwalior, was working with a private company in Indore. She had gone with her friend Ashutosh Rajore to the hotel, where his two friends Neeraj Dandotiya and Shailendra Saraswat were staying.

The Indore police arrested the three men and booked them for abetment to suicide irrespective of the autopsy report which mentioned that the death was homicidal in nature and the body bore sign suggestive of struggle in form of nail marks at places.
