Actor Ranveer Singh is flying high with a string of big films in his kitty. And now, he is all set to join superstar Shah Rukh Khan at the Grevin Wax Museum in Paris. With this, Ranveer will become only the second Bollywood star, after SRK, to be honoured with a statue.
His measurements for the statue were taken in 2016, when he was shooting in Paris for the Aditya Chopra- directorial Befikre.Speaking about it at the museum, Ranveer had said, “It’s a truly special birthday present and one that will always bring back beautiful memories of Paris. I love all things French, and am grateful to the museum that they have given me a permanent place in wax in their home and their hearts.”
His hair, skin, and eye colour were carefully recorded and the hands were moulded. Reportedly, the only problem for the sculptor was to capture the exact contours of the actor’s face since he was growing a beard to play the role of Allauddin Khilji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s upcoming film Padmavati. Ranveer has also donated one of his own outfits to be worn by his statue.
If reports are to be believed, the actor will inaugurate the statue on his birthday, July 6, 2017. He turns 32 this year.
