Just ahead of the film's release on May 1, a new song Warna Gabbar Aa Jayega was released late on Tuesday, and as expected, this dacoit is endearing himself to all his fans.
Written by popular Punjabi rapper Raftaar, the number uses almost all dialogues made famous by Amjad Khan's Gabbar, including 'Tera Kya Hoga', and '...Shaabaashi Dega', among others.
Punjabi singer Manjeet Ral has lent his voice for the song. Ral earlier sang Whistle Bajaa from Tiger Shroff-starrer Heropanti (2014).
Directed by Krish, the movie features Akshay Kumar as the head of an anti-corruption body. plays the female lead, with Kareena Kapoor Khan makes a guest appearance. Gabbar also has Prakash Raj, Sunil Grover, Nikitan Dheer and Suman Talwar playing important roles. Written by AR Murugadoss and Shiraz Ahmed, Gabbar Is Back is a remake of Murugadoss's Tamil film Ramanaa. Ramanaa was also remade in Telugu as Tagore with Chiranjeevi in the lead, and then in Kannada as Vishnu Sena with Vishnuvardhan in the lead role. , too, has an item song in the movie.
