Ali Fazal plans to visit his ancestral home in Goa, and get it renovated.

Ali Fazal is planning to get his ancestral home in Goa renovated. The actor’s paternal grandfather lived there, and he spent a large part of his childhood in Goa. Now, Ali wants to rebuild the old house.

“It is a peaceful place, and living there reminds me of the good times I’ve had there,” says Ali Fazal about his ancestral place in Goa. (Shakti Yadav)

A source close to the actor says, “Ali has fond memories of his grandfather’s house. He now plans to travel to Goa often, get it renovated, and spend more time there.”

When contacted, Ali said, “My grandfather was a civil servant. He was honest, so it would be unfair to say we enjoyed the perils of richness. We were always a middle-class family, who took pride in our little set-up. So, that house is still very dear to me. It is a peaceful place, and living there reminds me of the good times I’ve had there. The next time I’m there, I plan to browse through all of my grandfather’s books, paintings and collectables.”
