Amitabh Bachchan shared a picture with Shoojit Sircar announcing he will be working with the filmmaker soon.

Actors Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana will team up for Shoojit Sircar’s next film, Gulabo Sitabo. Touted to be a comedy based in Lucknow, the film go on floors in June. Like his previous films, Shoojit has collaborated with writer Juhi Chaturvedi for Gulabo Sitabo as well.

A Mumbai Mirror report quoted Shoojit as saying, “Juhi and I have been working on this script for a while now. We all know whenever she comes up with a story, it has her trademark quirk. As soon as I read it, I shared it with Mr Bachchan and Ayushmann at the same time. I thought it would take some time to develop and take it forward, but everyone was so enthusiastic to work on this script, they figured out their dates and here we are, planning to release the film this year itself.”

To be produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar, the film is likely to hit theatres in November. While Ayushmann made his Bollywood debut with Shoojit’s Vicky Donor in 2012, Amitabh has worked with the filmmaker in Deepika Padukone starrer Piku that proved to be a hit in 2015.

Earlier this week, Amitabh had shared a picture with Shoojit from what looks like a reading session and wrote, “T 3162 - Sunday with the well wishers .. and the next project with Shoojit Sircar.”

Ayushmann is working on his next with Yami Gautam, Bala while Amitabh has begun work on Rumi Jaffrey’s thriller called Chehre that also stars Emraan Hashmi.

Shoojit too has been busy, shooting for his film with Vicky Kaushal, dubbed Sardar Udham Singh. The team was in St Petersburg, Russia to shoot for the film, the first look of which was revealed in April-end.
