Amitabh Bachchan on Friday shared a heavily edited picture of himself on Instagram, and compared the vibrant look of the image to Ranveer Singh’s famously excessive personal style. “This is the ultimate limit of excess .. ready to compete with Ranveer SINGH,” wrote Amitabh, to which Ranveer had a quick reply.
“It’s a no-contest,” Ranveer wrote. “I concede!”
Ranveer is often photographed dressed in an eccentric manner. His loud public persona is often the highlight of events. Amitabh, who is very active on social media, often posts pictures of himself online. Usually these pictures are heavily edited fan-made collages.
He recently complained to Twitter for having removed millions of his followers -- a move carried out in the social media platform’s crusade against fake accounts. “Dear Twitter Management, it’s quite amazing how you manage to keep numbers of followers constant and not moving at all despite maximum activity??? Well done! I mean how do you keep the score board from not moving despite every ball being hit for a 6!” he said.
On another occasion, he even wrote a poem about his problems with Twitter. “Dear brother, or sister (I don’t know your gender, so have addressed both). I am trying to publish something but you are not allowing it. You have already removed my 2,000,000 followers in a day, now please don’t take this away. Please do not be so cruel,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, Ranveer frequently comments on his industry peers’ Instagram posts. He fawned over every picture posted by his rumoured girlfriend Deepika Padukone from Cannes.
Ranveer will next be seen in Simbaa and Gully Boy, and Amitabh recently appeared opposite Rishi Kapoor in 102 Not Out. He will be seen in Thugs of Hindostan at the end of the year.
