Amitabh Bachchan won a National Film Award for his performance as a crotchety father in Piku on Monday and the warmest praise he received was from daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The Bollywood actor who is ready with her film Sarabjit is proud that her ‘Paa’ has won his fourth National Award and says every performance of the megastar deserves to be celebrated.

“It is not the first time (he is winning the National Award). He deserved it. We are very very proud that Paa (Bachchan) won the award yet again for a performance he deserved,” Aishwarya told reporters here at an event. “I feel every performance of him deserves to be celebrated by the audience and members of the media,” she said. The actress’ first look from a song in Sarabjit is out and she looks like a dream.

The Dhoom 2 actress is thankful to everyone for the wishes. “I thank you for all the love. Thank you for all the congratulatory messages. We love Paa and god bless him for entertaining us,” she added.
