Amitabh Bachchan to play lead in Sujoy Ghosh

After Amitabh Bachchan was roped in for Sujoy Ghosh's ambitious venture Badlaa with Vidya Balan and Naseeruddin Shah, the icon once again will play the lead in yet another venture of Ghosh's.

After Amitabh Bachchan was roped in for Sujoy Ghosh's ambitious venture Badlaa with Vidya Balan and Naseeruddin Shah, the icon once again will play the lead in yet another venture of Ghosh's. Produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, this film is a screen adaptation of the novel 'The Devotion of Suspect X'.

Amitabh will be seen playing the role of a mathematician who silently loves his neighbor, a divorcee and helps her to cover up the murder of her cruel ex-husband. Sujoy also recently revealed that the romance in the film will be inspired by Bollywood hits like Sholay and Kala Patthar where Amitabh portrayed a similar kind of silent devotion towards Jaya Bachchan and Rakhee.

Sujoy, who is currently in the scripting stage, is yet to be finalize the rest of the cast for the film.
