Asin on look out for meaty roles

Southern actress Asin, who has done commercial films in Bollywood like Ghajini, London Dreams and Ready, is actually looking out for a performance-oriented role in mainstream films.

“I have no such restrictions that I’m going to work in only mainstream commercial films but the ideal situation for me at this point would be to hopefully get a role in a commercial mainstream format, which has some scope for performance. And that’s very difficult to get," Asin told IANS.

“Rather than concentrating only on niche cinema where you get better roles or concentrating only in commercial roles, where usually you don’t have much to do, the ideal would be to get a mix of both."

Currently the 25-year-old is working on Sajid Khan’s Housefull 2.
