Bride-to-be Sonam Kapoor gets the sweetest video message from Anupam Kher

Bollywood actor Anupam Kher paid a visit to Sonam Kapoor, who will get married to businessman Anand Ahuja on May 8, to offer his best wishes to the bride-to-be. The veteran actor captured the moment on video, which he shared on social media late Thursday.

“Bride to be. My dearest darling @sonamkapoor. Choti si bachchi dekhte dekhte badi ho gayi,” he captioned the post, making a reference to how he’s seen her grow up before his eyes. Sonam’s father, Anil Kapoor, and Anupam were contemporaries in Bollywood.

Sonam has worked with Anupam in Mausam and Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo.

In the video, we can see Sonam sitting cross-legged on a chair, busy on her phone, as Kher pans up and down between her and (presumably) an advance wedding gift. “Look at this beautiful girl,” he says, as Sonam gives him a ‘V for victory’ sign.

Sonam and longtime boyfriend Anand Ahuja announced their wedding in a joint statement earlier this week. The statement read, “The Kapoor and Ahuja families take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam and Anand. The wedding will take place on the May 8 in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family’s need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love as we celebrate this special moment in our lives.”
