Escalators were clogged, elevators jammed and every little nook of Gurgaon’s Ambience Mall was packed on Sunday evening. After fours hours of waiting, actors Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, Farhan Akhtar, Kalki Koechlin and Abhay Deol finally arrived at 7.30pm.

Hrithik, 37, was the main attraction of the evening. The audience chanted his name as they entered, one fan scratched the actor on his arm. In a live concert, the actors sang and danced to songs from their film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, which opens this Friday. “The performance was to be only 15 minutes long, but Hrithik was so grateful that he told the team that they should perform longer,” said an organiser. Hrithik later told the crowd, “I am speechless, overwhelmed... I have never seen anything like this before.”
