Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali couldn’t stop praising Deepika Padukone after seeing her in the costume of a queen.

Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next project Padmavati with actors Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone has got the audience talking and it was Padukone’s first look, which left the filmmaker speechless.

Actor Deepika Padukone will be playing the role of a queen in the next film.

Bhansali, who is working with Padukone for the third time after Goliyon ki Rasleela Ramleela (2013) and Bajirao Mastani (2015), was bewitched by her look on the first day of the shoot.

Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is in awe of actor Deepika Padukone when he saw her for the first time in her costume.

“Sanjay saw Deepika heading towards the set as Rani Padmavati for the very first time in that look, and that was the moment when the director finally believed that his much ambitious film has kick started! He got very emotional. He kept praising her after that,” says a source. Meanwhile, Padukone is enjoying the film’s shoot to the hilt.

“Deepika has started shooting for the film and is loving every bit of it. This is her third film with Bhansali and the duo share an incredible rapport. She is glad she said yes to the film,” says Padukone’s spokesperson.
