Are you looking forward to working with SRK again in Chennai Express?
I would love to work with SRK. I’ve wanted to work with him again, ever since Om Shanti Om (2007). We are constantly in touch. When I see him on TV or read about him, I feel a certain fondness, not just because he was my first co-star but because he took care of me. He took it upon himself to give me a good launch. There will always be place for him in my heart. I’d say yes to working with him without batting an eyelid.
It’s reported that you said yes to Karan Johar’s next with Emraan Hashmi. A couple of actresses have refused to work with him.
If I’m offered that film, I’ll do it. I like Emraan’s conviction in what he does. Till today, he has stuck to what he wants to do and what he thinks is right. Every producer will say he’s the most commercially viable actor in the industry. He’s come a long way. It would be an honour to work with him.
In one of the scenes in Cocktail, you’re wearing only a top. Do you lounge around at home like that?
Everyone at home likes to lounge and wear loungy, easy and comfortable clothes.
So you wear only tops at home?
Come home one day, I’ll show you. I have a naughty side, like my character Veronica. I have always been slightly naughty, a little bratty and a little bullying in real life.
What did you do to get into that red bikini? Will you wear one again for a future film?
I had to work really hard to get that look. I practiced pilates with Yasmin Karachiwala. Veronica is comfortable with her body, so wearing a bikini was an extension of that. I don’t know if I’d do it again for a film anytime soon.
