“I have just seen the movie and he has done a fabulous job as Milkha Singh,” said Balan on the sidelines of the launch of artist Sohini Mukhopadhyay’s first solo Rabindra sangeet album.

Directed by Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra, the biopic based on legendary Indian athlete Milkha Singh’s life that released Friday managed an impressive Rs 8.5 crore business on its opening day.

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag also stars Sonam Kapoor, who is still riding high on the success of her last release Raanjhanaa.

Balan’s forthcoming movie Shaadi Ke Side Effects is a sequel to the 2006 hit film Pyaar Ke Side Effects.
