Salman 'the action hero' is back! After doing a cop act in Dabangg series, RAW agent in Ek Tha Tiger, the Bollywood heartthrob Salman Khan will be seen as an army officer in his upcoming film Jai Ho. The film will be directed by Sohail Khan.

The reigning Khan was snapped by a fan during the film's Romania schedule.

Jai Ho, which was earlier titled Mental, will most probably see a Republic Day release. The film is a remake of Southern film Stalin that top-lined Chiranjeevi, who played a major in the army.

Stalin's storyline was about a man's mission to help others and the make the world a better place.

"Neither Salman nor Sohail want to make it a preachy film. It's going to be high on entertainment like all Salman films," an insider told Hindustan Times.

The film also stars newcomer Daisy Shah and Sanaa Khan with Tabu and Mukul Dev in supporting roles.
