“Ahmed (Khan; choreographer), who is donning the producer’s hat for this film (co-produced by Bhushan Kumar), requested Sarojji to teach Sunny a few classical steps, and she was more than happy to do so. She spent a few hours with Sunny, who was quick to pick up the steps,” says an insider.

Ahmed, who calls Khan his “favourite choreographer”, says he has always been in awe of the classical touch she adds to her (dance) steps. “I couldn’t ask for more when I got her on board to do a special workshop with Sunny for my film,” says the choreographer-turned-producer. When contacted, Sunny shared her experience: “It’s one of the most beautiful numbers I have ever shot for. Ahmed is always a blast to work with. It was great to learn some bits from Saroj Khan ma’am.”
