Riding high on the success of his recent films such as The Dirty Picture, Murder 2 and the recently released Jannat 2, actor Emraan Hashmi is surely on a roll.
The 33-year old, who belives that an actor needs to do all kinds of cinema to survive in this industry, says, “As an actor, I’m extremely selfish. I would like to see myself for the entire two hours on screen. But having said that, you can’t say no to a film like The Dirty Picture, even though you don’t have the lead role.” Read on, as the actor talks about Delhi, his son, and raising his fees post his good run at the box office.
On raising his fee
I have incresed my acting fee. But it is not insane. It is what I commnad at this point of my career.
On award functions
I don’t like award ceremonies. Once, when I couldn’t turn up for an awards show, they gave my award to someone else.
On son Ayaan
I try to spend quality time with him, but even then, I often long to be with him because of my hectic schedule.
I love coming to the Capital, though I don’t come here very often. I really love the food here. It is the best in North India.
On future projects
Next is Dibakar Banerjee’s Shanghai. There is also Raaz 3, Ghanchakkar and Ek Thi Daayan in the pipeline.
