The shooting of Madhur Bhandarkar’s much-anticipated film, Heroine, finally kicked off on Saturday. And the leading lady, Kareena Kapoor, can’t stop gushing about it.
“It is a great feeling to finally be working on what is an actor’s career-best role, and there is so much positivity around the film that I already feel encouraged,” says Kapoor, 31, who believes that the film was destined to fall in her lap.
“I think I was destined to be the leading lady in Heroine,” she says. Incidently, Kapoor was the first choice for the role. She, however, was later replaced by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. But when Ash announced the news of her pregnancy, Bhandarkar decided to shelve the project and then revived it with Kapoor.
Bhandarkar, too, is looking forward to the film’s shooting. “It is a mix of facts and fiction. I’m happy with the way things are going,” he says.
The actor has also ditched her size zero avatar and regained her voluptuous self for this film. “An actor must keep changing her looks,” says Kapoor, who recently won the title of Asia’s sexiest woman. “There are many sexy women, but I’ll try to enjoy the title.”
I am enjoying my curves. Size zero had its time, but now for this role I want to be curvy and voluptuous
It is a pleasure to work with Madhur. He has a knack of churning out intelligent movies
