It's Christmas for fangirls! Ayushmann Khurrana, Shahid Kapoor to work together

Director Abhishek Chaubey seems to have finalised the cast for his next, which is reportedly a thriller. While Shahid Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra had already been signed on for lead roles, Ayushmann Khurrana has just been signed as the second male lead.

Director Abhishek Chaubey, who is known for making films like Ishqiya (2010) and Dedh Ishqiya, seems to have finalised the cast for his next, which is reportedly a thriller. While Shahid Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra had already been signed on for lead roles, Ayushmann Khurrana has just been signed as the second male lead.

There were reports a few days back that Emraan Hashmi was being considered for the part. But a source close to the production house tells us, “Emraan was never part of the film. Ayushmann has been finalised for the lead along with Shahid.”

Apparently, Ayushmann was so keen to be part of the project that he has already started work on it. “He got a narration for the film and is excited about it. While he has already done the look test for the character, he is yet to sign the documents,” says a source close to the actor.
