Keeping up with the trend of remixing the ‘80s hits, the makers of Ittefaq have treaded the familiar path. The film starring Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha is banking upon the remix of Namak Halal’s (1982) song Raat Baaki.

Ittefaq is directed by Abhay Chopra.

While the original was voiced by Asha Bhosle and Bappi Lahiri, the remix has been sung by Jubin Nautiyal and Nikita Gandhi. Tanishk Bagchi has recreated Bappi Lahiri’s evergreen composition.

The feel of a party song is completely lost in the new song. The new composer wants to retain the essence of the original by replacing the words ‘Pyaar se’ with ‘Ittefaq se’. The video is average as well with Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha trying their best to look mysterious with the help of studio shadow photography.

Director Abhay Chopra’s film will recreate the classic old whodunit told from two perspectives. Two murders have been committed and the two suspects, Sonakshi and Sidharth, are hell bent on their own, two very different versions of the same night. One of them is definitely lying but who is it?

Akshay Khanna, who is playing a police officer in the film, will try to solve the mystery.

Ittefaq will hit the screens on November 3, 2017.
