Director Imtiaz Ali has extensively featured Punjab in his films and his next Jab Harry Met Sejal is no exception. A new song titled Radha takes the tradition forward and features Shah Rukh Khan giving Anushka Sharma a lesson in Punjabi.
The song, composed by Pritam, starts with Shah Rukh Khan telling Anushka Sharma about the reason behind the high-pitched voice of most of the Punjabi singers. He says it happens because most of them come from agricultural families where they had to sing on a higher note than the sound of their tractors. Of course, it’s just a dialogue as many popular Punjabi singers wouldn’t have practiced in their fields.
Written by Irshad Kamil, the song is voiced by Sunidhi Chauhan and Shahid Mallya.
Jab Harry Met Sejal is the story of a Punjabi guy and his Gujarati friend who meet in special circumstances.
The song is a regular number which solves the purpose of presenting exotic foreign locales.
Jab Harry Met Sejal will hit the screens on August 4, 2017.
