Kaalakaandi teaser: Watch out for Saif Ali Khan in a colourful avataar
Saif Ali Khan’s Kaalakaandi, directed by Akshat Verma, who earlier wrote Aamir Khan’s Delhi Belly, looks like a chaotic tale of colourful people. Saif plays the lead role in the film.
Saif Ali Khan may soon have an ace up his sleeve: The first teaser of his forthcoming film, Kaalakaandi, released on Friday, has already got his fans believing it could be the star’s comeback film. Because, the 40-second video shows Saif in a never-before-seen colourful avatar, and he looks hilarious.
Kaalakaandi is a dark comedy about six characters from different walks of life: It is a raucous tale about life, death and karma, that barrels through one monsoon night in Mumbai.
The 40-second-long video shows Saif in a rather colourful avatar. The teaser seems rather chaotic and is a mish-mash of gun shots, dances and crazy music.
Akshat Verma, writer of the Aamir Khan’s Delhi Belly (2011), makes his directorial debut with the film. Produced by Cinestaan Film Company and Ashi Dua Sara of Flying Unicorn, the film stars Saif along with Deepak Dobriyal, Vijay Raz, Kunal Roy Kapoor, Sobhita Dhulipala, Akshay Oberoi, Isha Talwar, Shenaz Treasury, Shivam Patil, Amyra Dastur and Neil Bhoopalam in a special appearance.
