The five-time winner of comedy reality show Comedy Circus, stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma added another feather in his cap by being signed by actor-filmmaker Sohail Khan for his next directorial venture, Sher Khan. The film stars Sohail’s brother, Salman Khan.

Sohail, who was judging the fifth season of the reality show, named Comedy Circus Ka Naya Daur, along with Archana Puran Singh, had declared that he would give the winner the chance to work in Sher Khan. “When Sohail had announced, in the beginning of the show, that whoever won would find a role in his movie, no one took it seriously. But he recognised my talent and kept his word,” says Kapil, who won the season partnering actor Sumona Chakravarti.

Kapil is unable to divulge any details about his character, but he gives us an inkling: “I have a good role in the movie.

I really can’t talk about the role but it will be really entertaining and full of fun.”
