Whether it was Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor, who decided to romance onscreen (in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani; 2013) even though their offscreen relationship had fizzled out or Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh, who will be seen in Zoya Akhtar’s next (they were rumoured to be in a relationship after their first film together) — the show must go on is the philosophy followed by many.

So, it didn’t come as surprise when ex-lovers Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shahid Kapoor decided to share screen space in Abhishek Chaubey’s next. The film is set to go on the floors in February end, so when we asked Kareena if it would be awkward for her to work with Shahid after so many years, the actress called the notion “silly”.

A source puts things in perspective, saying, “Kareena is in a happy space right now — personally and professionally. She’s enjoying her career and is happy to work with everyone.”

Shahid and Kareena last worked together in Imtiaz Ali’s Jab We Met (2007), which went on to become a hit.
