Kartik Aaryan lost Karan Johar movie starring Kareena Kapoor for this reason?

Kartik Aaryan has reportedly been removed from consideration for a Karan Johar movie because of his overenthusiastic PR team.

It is being reported that Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety actor Kartik Aaryan has been dropped from an upcoming film produced by Karan Johar and starring Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Kartik Aaryan had even walked the ramp with Kareena Kapoor Khan.

According to Bollywood Hungama, the actor was in consideration for a supporting role in the film, but Karan didn’t respond positively when Kartik’s PR team allegedly confirmed the news before any contracts had been signed. Kartik had reportedly sent feelers to Karan, and was in contention for the role, the report adds.

Karan’s Dharma Productions is one of Bollywood’s most successful production houses, with its own cabal of filmmakers and actors. The studio’s latest release is Dhadak, starring Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter.

The report adds that Kartik’s team had said that he would be paired opposite Kareena in the film, and had even made a few red carpet appearances with her. He had also demanded a hefty paycheck for the movie. The film will apparently have Akshay and Kareena pairing.

Kartik’s latest release, the critically derided Sonu Ki Titu... was a runaway success at the box office, continuing director Luv Ranjan’s winning streak. The film made over Rs 100 crore, despite complaints that it was regressive and misogynistic.
