Krrish 3 going strong, earns Rs 72.8 crore over weekend

The film was expected to make it big. And from the look of it, Krrish 3 is on track. On Friday it got a grand opening, romping home with Rs 25.5 crore. It slid a bit on the earning scale over the weekend with Saturday collections of Rs 23 crore before getting to Rs 24.3 crore figure on Sunday.

This was the big Diwali release all were waiting for. With weekend box office collections averaging close to Rs 25 crores on each day (Friday – Rs 25.5Cr, Saturday – Rs 23 Cr & Sunday – Rs 24.3), the film is set for bigger things.



"Krrish 3 is fabulous on day two, despite pre-Diwali festivities at its peak. Collects Rs.23 crore (Hindi+Tamil+Telugu) on Saturday. Outstanding," tweeted trade analyst Taran Adarsh.



Directed and produced by Rakesh Roshan, the superhero sci-fi drama, made on a budget of about Rs 100-Rs 150 crore, got a grand opening when it came out Friday.



Trade analyst Komal Nahta tweeted, "Rock-steady! That's the only way to describe , given that Saturday was last day of dull pre-Diwali... Historic!"

RK Mehrotra, general manager, Delite cinemas informed that the film is till Wednesday.
