Lisa Ray wants to shift base to India soon

Indo-Canadian model and actor Lisa Ray is enjoying her newly wed status. She exchanged vows with management consultant Jason Dehni on Oct 20 and recently returned from her honeymoon at Bora Bora Islands in French Polynesia.

Sporting a sparkling rock on her finger, Lisa, a cancer survivor, says, “My life has touched new heights, both professionally and personally, after being diagnosed with cancer. I found Jason, my soulmate.” She was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma cancer in 2008, but won her battle against it. “Technically it’s an incurable cancer. So I’m on remission. I don’t have to go for therapy right now but if there is a relapse, I might have to go for treatment,” Lisa said on her recent trip to promote cancer research in India. We shift topic to her hubby, and she says, “The fact that Jason knows my complete medical and professional history and accepted me with it is great.”

The two met when Lisa’s pal introduced her to Jason’s non-profit organisation, Art Bound, which works on developing sustainable villages all over the world. When asked if she plans to shift base to India, Lisa says, “Yes! I just have to convince my husband. But that shouldn’t be a very difficult task... May be in the next couple of years.”
