Yes, it's true. Meryl Streep may well be starring opposite actor Amitabh Bachchan in Paa director R. Balki's next film. Apparently, the director is lending finishing touches to the romantic film which is about two people past the supposedly permissible age of romance, reported Mid-Day. The lead role for the film is supposed to be played by Big B.

Balki reportedly is very keen on casting the Oscar winning actress and is not at all perturbed about approaching her. "That's the least of my worries. Getting an international star is not half as difficult as it is made out to be. My concern is to make sure that the script justifies the casting," Balki told the tabloid.

In case, Streep isn't available, the director intends to approach the charming yesteryear's actress Sridevi. Though Amitabh Bachchan has not finalized anything yet, he said he will be meeting the director soon to discuss the matter.

The director is supposedly working on two different scripts. The second script is about a cross-cultural love story.
