Minissha to play innocent TV reporter in Joker

Minissha Lamba who loves to keep herself up-to-date with current affairs is watching television with a different perspective these days.



The pretty lass who's maintained a fine balance between off-beat and commercial cinema is learning the nuances of her character in Joker with the help of idiot box.



"I'm watching a lot of television in preparation for the role especially news channels. One watches them all the time, but it's really a matter of figuring out a style that you would like to adopt."



Though the actress has portrayed the role of a journalist before in Shaurya, she claims, it's different this time, as it's a soft character.

"It's different from Shaurya. There I was a print journalist in a conflict environment. Here I play a television reporter. This is a softer character. She's got a babe in the woods kinda feel to her."



Incidentally, director Shirish Kunder reportedly chose Minissha for this role, as he felt she looks innocent and thus was perfect for the portrayal.
